Deliveries is a plan feature. If your sidebar does not show it, your plan does not carry it: open Billing and Subscription, then Change plan, and the screen names the plan that includes it. The pricing page compares all four plans.
If the Packing Slip List says packing slips are switched off, nobody can create one and both that screen and Challans stay empty. An owner turns it on under Settings, then General settings, with the switch reading Use packing slips to manage orders.
A packing slip records what was picked for a sale, and creating one takes that stock out of the warehouse. You create it from the sale itself, using Create Packing Slip on the sale list rather than from the packing slip screen.
From a slip you can Generate Invoice, Generate Shipping Label or View packing slip.
Deleting a packing slip moves stock. Every line goes back to the warehouse it came out of, the sale returns to Pending, and the delivery created alongside it is deleted with anything recorded on it.
A challan is the manifest a rider carries: the packing slips going out together, and the cash, cheques and card payments that come back.
- On the packing slip list, select at least one Pending slip and press Create Challan. Only a Pending slip can go on one.
- Choose the Courier and press Submit. Every slip on it becomes In Transit and its delivery moves to Delivering with that rider on it.
- When the rider returns, use Finalize Challan and record what came back. It shows Collected, Expected and Difference.
- Print Challan and Print Money Receipt give you the paper.
A challan is deleted by selecting it and using Delete Selected. There is no Delete in the row menu.
A delivery is created when you pack a sale, or from the sale itself. Edit it to set the Status, the Courier, Delivered By and Received By, attach a file, and correct the Address, which is required.
Saving a delivery as Delivering or Delivered emails the customer straight away. There is no way to hold it back, so set the status when you mean it rather than while you are still editing.
Delivery statuses are Packing, Delivering and Delivered, and they show on the sale list too.
